Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of trauma registry abstraction experience.
• Current trauma registry and coding education required (listed courses).
• Ability to independently abstract trauma cases using registry specs.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records and abstract data for Trauma Registry.
• Apply registry specifications and inclusion/exclusion criteria accurately.
• Interpret clinical docs and abstract injury data per trauma standards.
• Enter data into registry platforms and EHRs with care.
• Maintain high abstraction accuracy and meet deadlines.
• Participate in QA, feedback, and validation activities.
• Communicate with team and client contacts as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
