Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Child & Youth Abuse Trauma Specialist to remotely contribute to a project improving AI systems in trauma-informed care for vulnerable youth. You will apply clinical expertise to review, evaluate, and enhance AI-generated mental health guidance related to abuse, trauma, and youth mental health, with no prior AI experience required.

The role emphasizes ethical considerations, privacy, and safety, involving collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams and iterative content

Qualifications

• MD, PhD in Psychology, or PhD in Social Work with credentials.
• Extensive clinical experience working with children or youth affected by abuse.
• Strong expertise in trauma-informed care and interventions for young survivors.
• Active professional experience supporting individuals affected by abuse.
• Strong understanding of clinical assessment, ethical decision-making, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze case-based scenarios involving child and youth abuse.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated mental health guidance from clinical and ethical perspectives.
• Develop and review content focused on trauma-informed care for young abuse survivors.
• Identify clinical, ethical, and safety gaps in AI-generated responses.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure content reflects appropriate mental health standards.
• Participate in iterative review cycles to improve training data and model responses.
• Document recommendations to improve accuracy, sensitivity, privacy, and safety.
