Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a Siting, Routing & Permitting Lead to join our team remotely, guiding projects from routing studies through permit acquisition.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor staff, manage multiple projects, and engage with clients and regulators to deliver compliant energy infrastructure solutions. The role involves cross‑functional collaboration with civil, environmental, and electrical teams, travel as needed, and contributing to Bowman’s energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Natural Resources, Geography, Environmental Studies, or a related field is required.
• Master's degree in a related discipline is preferred.
• Eight or more (8+) years of experience in electric transmission and/or generation siting, routing, permitting, licensing, and utility applications.
• Strong understanding of state and federal permitting processes and regulatory frameworks affecting energy infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and working in a client-facing capacity.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for routing, siting, permitting, and licensing activities on electric transmission and generation projects.
• Mentor and support junior staff, promoting professional development.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across civil, environmental, and electrical disciplines.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables for multiple concurrent projects.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and technical approaches for prospective projects.
• Coordinate with Bowman offices nationwide to deliver integrated solutions and maintain client satisfaction.
• Ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance of technical work products.
