Job summary

Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU) seeks a Mid-Level Transportation Planner or Transportation Engineer with travel demand modeling expertise to join our growing planning practice. Work across statewide, regional, corridor, and environmental planning projects with multidisciplinary teams including GIS specialists.

You will lead modeling efforts, analyze transportation systems, and develop planning solutions, communicating findings to clients and stakeholders through memos and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
• Master's degree in Transportation Planning, Transportation Engineering, or Travel Demand Modeling.
• 5–15 years of experience in transportation planning, travel demand modeling, or transportation engineering.
• Experience supporting statewide, regional, or corridor transportation planning projects.
• Professional certifications (PE, AICP, PTOE, RSP1/RSP2, GIS PREFERRED).

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation modeling efforts: develop, calibrate, and validate regional and corridor travel demand models.
• Analyze travel patterns using model outputs, GIS, and socioeconomic forecasts.
• Develop innovative planning solutions with travel demand modeling, scenario planning, and benefit-cost analyses.
• Communicate findings through technical memoranda, planning reports, and presentations.
