Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU) seeks a Senior Engineer to lead multidisciplinary projects and actively drive business development. This role is for a leader, connector, strategist, and builder with a strong network in the transportation industry.

Based in Colorado, you will guide the transportation civil design group, build client relationships, pursue high-impact opportunities, and drive growth while mentoring junior staff and coordinating across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, urban/transportation planning, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in transportation with 5+ years in project management.
• Strong, established network in Colorado with a record of winning transportation work.
• Proven experience leading proposals and winning work across public-sector clients.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across internal departments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of transportation civil design projects ensuring quality, schedule, and budget.
• Collaborate with practice leaders and staff to deliver integrated solutions.
• Build and maintain client relationships, pursue opportunities, and drive growth.
• Lead scoping, budgeting, and QA/QC reviews; mentor junior staff.
• Serve as a technical resource and industry expert in transportation design.
