Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a remote Trademark & IP Law Paralegal in the United States. You will support U.S. attorneys with trademark prosecution, portfolio management, and USPTO filings, coordinating deadlines and filings while maintaining organized IP portfolios.

You will conduct preliminary searches, assist with Office Actions, and liaise with clients and international counsel to protect IP rights in a long-term remote role.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years as a paralegal, lawyer, or attorney.
• At least 2 years with a U.S. trademark or IP law firm.
• Experience with U.S. trademark prosecution and portfolio management.
• Experience filing trademark applications, amendments, renewals, and post-registration maintenance.
• Familiarity with USPTO, TEAS, and filing requirements.
• Ability to work with U.S. attorneys and clients.
• Strong drafting, research, and document preparation skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Trademark Prosecution and Filings: prepare and submit U.S. trademark applications, amendments, renewals, declarations of use, assignments, and other USPTO filings.
• Prepare and file Statements of Use, Amendments to Allege Use, and post-registration maintenance documents under Sections 8, 9, and 15.
• Assist attorneys with USPTO Office Action responses by gathering evidence and organizing materials.
• Trademark Portfolio Management: monitor status, deadlines, Office Actions, renewals, and maintenance.
• Maintain trademark docketing systems and coordinate deadlines and procedures.
• Prepare trademark watch reports and monitor conflicting marks to protect IP rights.
• Maintain digital case files and IP portfolios in case management systems.
• Conduct trademark searches and review USPTO records for attorney review.
• Assist with TTAB oppositions, cancellations, and related proceedings.
• Support copyright registrations and other IP filings.
