Job summary

Jobgether partner company in the United States seeks a Tools Administrator Lead to provide technical and operational leadership for a large DevOps/Agile tooling suite. You will lead a team of four tools administrators while staying hands-on across Jira, Confluence, Mural, GitHub Enterprise, Slack, and SonarQube, driving platform health and security.

You will manage RBAC, SSO/MFA via Okta, monitor health, plan upgrades, and act as a senior authority across 20+ development teams and 1,000+ users.

Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain a federal government Public Trust clearance.
Hands-on enterprise administration experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub Enterprise, Slack, and Mural.
At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising technical administrators or engineers.
Experience managing Jira at scale, including workflow configuration and Agile/SAFe board setup.
Experience administering Confluence spaces, including templates and governance.
Experience administering GitHub Enterprise, including repos, policies, webhooks, and CI/CD integrations.
Experience configuring and managing Slack workspaces and integrations.
Hands-on SonarQube experience, including Quality Gate configuration and CI/CD integration.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Experience with SSO/MFA administration (Okta or similar).
Knowledge of AWS cloud environments and cloud-based infrastructure management.
Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical topics to stakeholders.
SAFe or scaled Agile experience preferred.
Familiarity with CloudBees CI, Artifactory, TestRail, Grafana, or Splunk a plus.
API configuration/monitoring experience (Kong, AWS API Gateway) desirable.
Federal IT standards knowledge (FISMA, ATO, NIST).
Certifications such as Atlassian CP, AWS SysOps, or similar are a plus.
Remote work ability from US-based candidates.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of four tools administrators with technical direction and performance feedback.
Assign and oversee tasks to align with sprint/PI objectives.
Serve as primary escalation point for complex issues and cross-team coordination.
Establish backup coverage plans for continuity during leave or transitions.
Support onboarding and training for new or replacement team members.
Oversee administration, configuration, and maintenance of Jira, Confluence, Mural, GitHub Enterprise, Slack, SonarQube, plugins, and integrations.
Manage user provisioning, RBAC, SSO, and MFA through identity platforms like Okta.
Monitor platform health, availability, and performance; proactively resolve issues.
Plan tool upgrades/patches with no-downtime deployment.
Act as subject-matter expert and final technical authority across tools.
Maintain knowledge bases, runbooks, SOPs, and documentation.
Draft user communications for upgrades, licensing, and actions.
Contribute to sprint, monthly, and PI reporting on tool health and compliance.
Identify automation opportunities and drive adoption of new tech.
Represent tools team in Agile ceremonies and PI planning.
