Job summary

McGraw Hill is seeking an experienced IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) lead to design, develop, and optimize TM1 models across multiple cloud instances. You will work with Finance and FP&A to translate business requirements into scalable analytical solutions.

The role requires 8–10+ years in TM1 and 4–5 years of managerial experience, plus strong stakeholder communication. You will mentor TM1 developers, oversee project delivery, and ensure data accuracy for budgeting, planning, and forecasting.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) including managing multiple instances on the cloud.
• 4–5 years of managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of TM1 concepts: system architecture, data modeling, TI, rules, and feeders.
• Experience leading teams and projects.
• Knowledge of SQL, data warehousing, and ETL tools.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of TM1 models.
• Develop cubes, dimensions, rules, TI processes, and feeders.
• Optimize system performance and scalability.
• Manage and mentor TM1 developers and analysts.
• Oversee project delivery, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Establish best practices and development standards.
• Partner with Finance/FP&A to gather requirements and translate them into solutions.
• Provide system administration, upgrades, and security oversight.
• Deliver dashboards/reports using PAW; ensure data accuracy for budgeting and forecasting.
• Support SOX 404 compliance and audit documentation.
