Mortgage Connect LP is seeking a Title Examiner to work remotely in the United States. You will search public records, examine titles, and determine legal conditions for primarily residential properties, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities include drafting initial title commitments, resolving issues in the chain of title, and preparing reports. California experience is required; strong attention to detail and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years title searching with refinance and resale transactions; California experience required.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Proficient typing (55 WPM)

Responsibilities

• Perform title examination and examine the chain of title for residential orders.
• Abstract and analyze records such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat/map books to determine ownership and legal restrictions.
• Resolve missing, incomplete, or contradictory information in title documentation.
• Prepare initial title commitment documentation per guidelines.
