Responsibilities

• Performs title examination and examines the chain of title for residential orders.
• Abstracts and analyzes records (mortgages, liens, judgments, easements) to verify ownership and legal descriptions.
• Resolves missing or contradictory information in title documents.
• Prepares initial title commitment documentation according to guidelines.
• Prepares and reviews reports for accuracy.
• May provide underwriting interpretation within guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
