Qualifications

• 2+ years of examination experience in Michigan
• 2+ years of MS Office experience
• 3+ years of examination experience in Michigan
• 5+ years of MS Office experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of underwriting guidelines
• Knowledge of title commitment content
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Professional written and verbal communication
• Strong attention to detail
• Analytical thinking

Responsabilités

• Conduct title examinations across Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Kalkaska and nearby counties.
• Read requests and determine required title evidence and property descriptions.
• Assist teammates to complete orders quickly and accurately.
• Prepare Title Commitments outlining encumbrances and required actions.
• Interact with realtors, lenders, buyers, sellers and courthouses to resolve issues.
• Calculate title insurance premiums, rates, or quotes.
• Enter data into record-keeping systems to create or update title records.
• Summarize recorded documents affecting titles.
• Log notes and advance orders using computer systems.
• Pursue continuing education and learning on the job.
• Search records using online and courthouse resources to verify descriptions and ownership.
