Job summary

Westcor Land Title Insurance Company seeks an experienced Title Curative Specialist to determine title condition and insurability, applying underwriting guidelines and risk assessment to client-facing resolutions.

You will research title issues, coordinate with counsel, obtain releases, and prioritize tasks to meet SLAs while delivering accurate, timely documents to internal and external clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of curative experience in the title industry, national or regional experience preferred.
• Commercial and Purchase experience preferred.
• Ability to make well-reasoned risk decisions.
• Experience utilizing ResWare or similar title software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates title search, researches, and resolves title issues based on underwriting standards and client needs.
• Determines solutions to clear title issues and drives resolution.
• Handles complex tasks including releases for prior liens, divorce decrees, trusts, and corporate documents.
• Coordinates with underwriting counsel to resolve curative matters in line with policies.
• Orders and tracks clearance documentation and communicates with lienholders or attorneys.
