Vituity is seeking Organ Recovery Surgeons to support the HEART Thoracic Donor Organ Transplant Recovery Program in a remote Southeast setting. You will coordinate with administration, surgical and medical teams to ensure donor heart and lung procurement aligns with ISHLT/UNOS standards.

Responsibilities include donor graft recovery, regulatory compliance, QA collaboration, staff training, and facilitating inspections.

Qualificações

• Board Certified/Eligible Thoracic Surgery physicians required.
• Valid license to practice medicine in one of the contiguous United States required.
• Minimum years of transplant experience as specified by UNOS/ISHLT required.
• Maintain CME credits in thoracic transplant or thoracic surgery every three years.

Responsabilidades

• Support, organize, conduct, and direct the Vituity HEART Thoracic Donor Organ Transplant Recovery Program.
• Liaise between Administration, Surgical Staff, Medical Staff, and quality improvement activities for organ procurement.
• Recover heart and lung grafts for the Heart and Lung Transplant Program in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Adhere to State, Federal, and local laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with ISHLT, UNOS, and OPOs for surveys and data collection.
