Qualifications

• Active ACIN credentials for heart and lung recovery.
• Facility and comfort with independent organ recovery from brain-dead donors; DCD experience in demand.
• Outstanding interpersonal communication; able to work calmly under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Independent evaluation and recovery of thoracic organs (heart, lung, heart-lung) for transplantation.
• Education of residents/fellows in thoracic organ recovery as paid assistants (optional).
• Participation in process improvement and quality assurance initiatives pertaining to cases performed.
