GE Vernova in Wilmington, NC (hybrid; Atlanta hub optional) seeks a reactor-physics enthusiast to advance TRACG and thermal-hydraulic modeling for BWR/SMR applications. Strong Fortran and Python coding, numerical analysis, and reactor thermal-hydraulics are essential.

You will document methods, train users, and assist with customer interface and licensing-related tasks while growing toward subject-matter expert status within the THM team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science, computational methods, thermal-hydraulics, nuclear engineering, or related field with 2 years of experience, or Ph.D. in related discipline.
• Legal authorization to work in the USA; sponsorship not provided for this vacancy.
• Desirable: Ph.D. in a related discipline and experience with thermal-hydraulic methods such as TRAC, GOTHIC, COBRA, ISCOR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain computational methods for steady-state and transient core/fuel performance.
• Support TRACG documentation, validation, and user training; interface with customers.
• Assist licensing-related efforts and ensure QA within regulatory frameworks; collaborate with THM team.
