Twin Cities Orthopedics is seeking a Therapy Intake Referral Coordinator to manage patient onboarding, referrals, and scheduling in a remote-friendly hybrid role. You will handle inbound calls, registrations, and coordination with care teams to support efficient access to therapy services.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, accurate data handling, and collaboration with patients, providers, and staff while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
• Healthcare customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in patient registration, intake, referral coordination, scheduling preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients via calls, text messages, and other channels.
• Coordinate patient intake, registration, referral processing, and scheduling in the practice management system.
• Maintain accurate patient accounts with current demographic, insurance, and referral data.
• Schedule new and existing patient appointments per guidelines.
• Communicate appointment details, directions, and financial responsibilities clearly to patients.
• Verify and document insurance information and applicable payer requirements.
• Monitor work queues and scheduling modules to ensure timely access to care.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Protect patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA and privacy requirements.
