Requirements include a Texas license and a minimum of 4 years in litigation, preferably with defense-side background and experience in Texas state courts. Travel within Texas is expected, with day trips and some overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas
• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience
• Experience handling lawsuits in Texas state courts
• Defense-side litigation experience preferred
• Insurance defense experience a plus
• Billing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Defend electric utility companies in Texas state courts
• Travel across Texas as needed, including day trips and occasional overnights
• Maintain and enter billable hours accurately for all matters
