Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Dallas, TX is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team. The role involves defending tort claims against electric utility clients across Texas with potential Colorado work, in a hybrid office/remote setup.

Candidates should have a JD, Texas license, 3+ years in civil litigation, strong writing and communication skills, and experience with discovery, briefs, and client reporting. Some billing experience is preferred; travel for court appearances may be required.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas in good standing.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills.
• Experience with billing tracking and entry preferred.
• Experience in investigation and defense of tort claims preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze legal sources such as statutes and judicial decisions.
• Manage all phases of discovery, including electronic document production.
• Prepare legal briefs, pleadings, and other necessary documentation.
• Formulate legal strategy and manage cases.
• Appear in court for hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with attorneys and team members on legal matters.
• Conduct fieldwork as part of investigations.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.
