Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Test Lead to oversee the test work-package on a project, ensuring delivery of a high quality product against business requirements. The role requires leading test activities from planning to execution and ensuring traceability.

You will manage a testing team, collaborate with business analysts, develop test plans, report progress, and maintain artifacts for audit and governance.

Responsibilities

• Leading the test activities from planning to implementation
• Collaborating with the Business Analyst to review, analyze and identify gaps in the functional and non-functional requirements
• Determine the need for creating and managing the different test plans
• Preparing test plan(s) and obtaining the requisite approvals
• Work closely with the Business to determine appropriate business scenarios for testing.
• Designing, constructing and documenting traceability matrices
• Performing an assessment of risks related to testing and developing a test strategy and plan
• Creating the required testing artifacts
• Tracking test progress and providing regular status reports to the Test Manager or Project Manager
• Tracking and management of Variance Records, severity and statuses
• Reporting test metrics as required by the Business and Project Management
• Escalating testing related issues as required to the Test Manager, Business and Project Management
• Coordinating and ensuring the completion of administrative activities that impact the Test Team
• Preparing and delivering the Test Completion report to the Business and Project Management
• Retaining the appropriate artifacts as per audit or legal requirements for the Lines of Business
• Designing, constructing and documenting test cases and test scripts
• Executing planned tests, comparing actual to expected results, and documenting the outcome
• Creating variance records and assigning the appropriate severity level
• Performing re-tests and documenting the results until a successful outcome is achieved
• Reporting progress and issues during test planning, test preparation, and test wrap-up
• Communicating day-to-day testing progress and issues
