Job summary

Allied Universal® Electronic Monitoring seeks an Automation Engineer for a remote, fixed-term engagement (~10 months) to move a newly acquired electronic-monitoring product line onto a web-based platform. You will design and implement automated regression across web front end, middleware, and APIs, ensuring accurate data migration validation and repeatable cutovers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated test automation experience for production web applications, ideally involving systems integration or complex data migration projects.
• Automation frameworks: Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for end-to-end web interface testing.
• Experience validating RESTful APIs/middleware services and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Experience standing up and integrating automated test suites within build/deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an automated regression suite covering web front end, middleware services, and APIs.
• Automate validation of gap features to onboard acquired customer base.
• Create data-migration validation tooling for record counts, mapping, and referential integrity.
• Automate end-to-end device and event scenarios to enable repeatable migration rehearsals.
• Stand up a build pipeline to run tests on each build and migration rehearsal, with clear leadership reports.
• Automate test-data creation and environment setup/teardown for repeatable runs.
• Triaging failures and distinguishing product vs test defects, and tracking them with Eng and QA.
• Collaborate with QA to balance automated vs manual coverage by risk; document frameworks and hand over to permanent QA team.
