Penn State's SAFE‑T System seeks experienced SANEs for TeleSANE—Remote Forensic Nurse Expert (part‑time / on‑call). Provide real‑time telehealth consultations across ages for acute sexual assault and IPV, mentoring peers, and contributing to national standards.

Requires active SANE practice, SANE‑A/P certification, and strong pediatric experience; on‑call evenings/weekends with independent scheduling. This role is remote.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in good standing.
• Practicing as Sexual Assault Nurse/Forensic Examiner (SANE/SAFE).
• Minimum 30 acute sexual assault forensic examinations per year, 3 years, 15 pediatric.
• SANE-A and/or SANE-P certification (CFNC IA FN).
• Nursing compact licensure upon hire or applicable state licensure.
• Interested in growth with SAFE-T and commit to 2+ years.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert forensic nursing consultation during real-time exams (telehealth) for all ages.
• Deliver 48 hours of overnight call per month (5 p.m.–5 a.m. ET), with 24 weekend hours.
• Complete 60+ hours of virtual/in-person orientation.
• Attend 3-day in-person training in State College, PA; travel expenses reimbursed.
• Join virtual monthly team meetings and complete post‑case QA documentation.
• Mentor other SANEs via teleSANE reviews; participate in continuing education.
