Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is seeking an experienced nurse for a remote telemonitoring role. This position is non-direct patient care, located remotely from BJC at The Commons.

The role supports centralized telemetry by admitting patients into the monitoring system and coordinating with bedside staff as needed. Preferred candidates have 3+ years of inpatient experience and MO/IL nursing licenses.

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible in MO/IL
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3+ years of inpatient experience preferred
• Experience with telemetry/monitoring systems advantageous
• Ability to educate patients and families on care and medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients into the monitoring system and communicate with bedside staff as needed.
• Promote patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on illness, post-treatment home care, and medications.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized plans of care with goals.
• Communicate plan of care across the continuum and maintain patient safety.
