Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Virtual Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver remote, patient-centered nursing care via telephonic and video interaction. You will perform comprehensive virtual assessments, identify nursing diagnoses, and guide patients through self-management using evidence-based protocols.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document encounters in the EHR, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance across diverse populations and locations.

Qualifications

• Formal RN program completion (ADN or diploma) at hire
• Minimum of three years RN clinical experience in acute/ambulatory care
• BSN at hire preferred; triage experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive virtual nursing assessments via telephonic and secure video interactions.
• Apply nursing process to analyze data and determine urgencies and dispositions.
• Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team to set measurable goals and care plans.
• Provide evidence-based nursing advice, education, and at-home care guidance.
• Perform medication management guidance and OTC recommendations per protocols.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation of all encounters.
• Communicate lab and diagnostic results to patients and address questions.
• Evaluate patient response and revise care plans through shared decision-making.
• Navigate EHR and decision support tools to support care coordination.
• Facilitate access to primary care, specialists, and community resources.
