Job summary

Advanced IT Concepts, LLC is seeking a Telecommunications/Electronics Technician II (Contractor) for on-demand tasks across CONUS/OCONUS installations. This remote role requires certification, DoD experience, and strong cabling skills. Expect independent work with project leads and occasional on-site requirements.

The position emphasizes safety, documentation, and adherence to industry standards, with compensation based on experience and project scope.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of telecommunications/electronics vocational training or professional certification from an ABET accredited technical school or equivalent military school.
• BICSI installer level 1 certification or higher; substitutions allowed if equivalent areas are current within 3 years.
• 3+ years’ experience in two or more of the listed specialties (automation hardware, OS, automation security, virtualization, videoconferencing, fiber cabling, AV, network management, VoIP, protocols).
• DoD IT project experience preferred.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Ability to work independently and obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license for Fort Huachuca and CONUS sites.

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced IT de-installations and installations of IT racks, components, and cabling.
• Perform complex IT cabling installation tasks per project specs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cabling and connectivity issues independently.
• Follow safety protocols and use ladders and PPE as required.
• Communicate progress and requirements to the project lead; contribute to documentation.
