Job summary

DataSoft Technologies is hiring a Telecom Designer / RCDD to support mission-critical Data Center projects. The role involves designing structured cabling, wireless, and low-voltage systems, and guiding BIM designers.

The position offers hybrid/remote work in the United States and requires 4+ years of telecom design experience, with RCDD certification or the ability to obtain it within a year of hire.

Qualifications

• Technical or Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 years of experience designing or leading telecommunications structured cabling systems.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and NFPA 70 standards.
• Experience with Navisworks.
• Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Experience responding to RFPs and RFIs.
• Experience preparing project budgets and schedules.
• Ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
• RCDD certification, or the ability to obtain it within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Design structured cabling, wireless, audio/visual, and other low-voltage systems
• Guide BIM designers in preparing engineering drawings and documentation
• Develop and modify Division 27 specifications
• Conduct site visits and review technical documentation
• Respond to RFIs, submittals, and substitution requests
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards
