Job summary

Henry Schein One is seeking a Director of Technology to shape the strategic tech direction for DentalPlans.com and lead a blended team across internal and outsourced engineers.

You will translate strategy into a proactive technology roadmap, balancing modernization, reliability, and data readiness while driving AI-enabled improvements in delivery, quality, and operational performance. This role is remote within the United States with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience across the full technology stack for a direct-to-consumer digital business, including WordPress and backend development.
• Strong ability to balance reliability, usability, and business performance in customer-facing platforms.
• Proven leadership of blended teams (internal, outsourced, onshore/offshore) with talent retention.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategy into a clear, actionable technology roadmap.
• Lead development of long-range objectives for the department.
• Communicate priorities to executives and stakeholders.
• Champion practical AI capabilities to improve efficiency and quality.
• Oversee delivery processes across software development, QA, and release management.
• Ensure adherence to standards across teams and partners.
• Develop team ownership and accountability to address issues.
• Lead blended teams across onshore and offshore locations.
