Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a DDP [CVD] Technical Support Engineer (E3) to deliver expert remote and on-site support for complex equipment issues. You will troubleshoot, analyze root causes, guide field engineers, and contribute to knowledge bases and training materials.

The role requires 7+ years’ experience with DDP products, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication. Travel is expected to support customer sites and NPI initiatives across multiple locations in the US.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
7+ years of experience with Applied Materials DDP products or similar.
Strong troubleshooting and data-driven problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Support multiple technical escalations, resolve with focus on time to resolution and quality of work.
Attend customer field issues meetings with FSO, collaborate with BU engineers.
Recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
Publishing Technical Lessons Learned, troubleshooting guides, technical papers, etc.
Provide on-site coaching to FSO.
Support NPI development early in the product life cycle, and at key customer sites.
Create, or collaborate in creation of, innovative advanced troubleshooting tools.
