Job summary

metroConnections, Inc. is seeking a Technical Services Specialist to support sales with technical planning, drawings, and vendor RFPs. The role collaborates with the Technical Services team, Sourcing Specialist, and Sales to develop program pricing and documentation.

After a program is sold, you will maintain drawings, version control, and a smooth handoff to the production team. This is a hybrid role with remote work and occasional Burnsville, MN office work.

Qualifications

• Experience with live event technical elements (audio, video, lighting, staging, rigging, power).
• Experience with conference/event diagramming software preferred, Vector Works.
• Proficient with MS Office and Adobe Creative Cloud; Mac OS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Support VP of Technical Services and Directors during sales process.
• Create 2D drawings (floor plans, stage layouts) for design parameters.
• Prepare venue files/plots for 3D rendering support.
• Research venue specs, AV exclusives, rigging points and power availability.
• Review vendor bids with Sourcing and deliver RFP documents on time.
• Maintain version control and hand off complete files to production teams.
