Nycom, Inc. is hiring a Design Engineering Technician in a remote role serving projects across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast US. You will interpret architectural and MEP drawings, draft shop drawings, and support BOM production and installation.

The position emphasizes collaboration with project teams, adherence to deadlines, and using proprietary software to manage documentation and inquiries.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Revit as a modeling and data management tool.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, construction management, and/or 3+ years of drafting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural drawings to generate shop drawings for various project types and sizes.
• Complete shop drawings in a timely manner and according to our company standards.
• Manage project information, maintain notes and documentation, and ensure questions are answered when needed using our proprietary software.
• Work competently in a deadline-driven remote environment that requires independent time management.
• Independently solve problems in close coordination with members of the project team.
