Job summary

Polytec Inc. is seeking a Technical Sales Associate to support water treatment projects across Georgia and surrounding states. The role is home-based in the Greater Atlanta area with a focus on agricultural and food-processing customers and municipal clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent industry experience).
• Minimum 3-5 years in industrial wastewater treatment or related field.
• Experience with industrial wastewater equipment (DAF systems, clarifiers, presses).
• Ability to calculate chemical dosages and apply treatment chemistry principles.
• Experience in technical sales or customer-facing industrial roles preferred.
• Willingness to travel across multi-state territories.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and grow relationships with agricultural and food-processing customers, including meat processors, as well as other industries and municipalities.
• Assess customer challenges and recommend chemical and polymer treatment programs for pretreatment and full discharge treatment systems.
• Conduct on-site evaluations of wastewater treatment systems and processes.
• Collaborate with customers, municipal authorities, and internal technical teams to ensure compliant and effective treatment solutions.
• Prepare and present technical proposals, treatment recommendations, and cost justifications.
• Support implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization of treatment programs.
• Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and activity reports.
• Stay current on environmental regulations, wastewater treatment technologies, and industry best practices.
