Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for Upstate New York with remote/hometown coverage across Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, Niagara Falls and parts of Vermont. You will lead regional technical sales execution and installer development in collaboration with RAMs to drive product adoption.

Requirements include 3+ years in high-touch sales in construction, 3–5 years building science experience, CRM proficiency, and 30–40% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Certifications: CPC, CAC, CCM, OSHA, EPSC Level 1.
• 3+ years of sales in a high-touch environment; 5+ years preferred.
• 3-5 years building science/construction experience; 5+ preferred.
• 1+ years with a CRM system (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.).
• Ability to travel 30–40%; valid driver’s license.
• Bilingual with Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute the regional technical sales strategy focusing on installers, contractors, and projects.
• Identify growth opportunities with regional installation companies.
• Ensure technical resources are applied where they have the greatest impact.
• Act as the subject matter expert in installation practices and product offerings.
• Create and maintain product specifications for sites and builders.
• Audit installation practices and formulate corrective action plans.
