Job summary

Altinity, Inc. is hiring a Technical Sales Engineer to combine deep database expertise with customer-facing sales skills.

You will help build real-time analytics applications on ClickHouse and Altinity.Cloud, onboard new customers, and guide successful deployments from discovery to production. You will lead technical discussions with engineers and product teams, design schemas and data flows, and support trials with demos and PoCs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in database engineering or sales engineering roles.
• Deep background in database tech; ClickHouse preferred.
• Operate at code level; guide SQL table design and performance.
• Kubernetes and cloud deployment experience.
• DevOps tools and system administration familiarity.
• Customer-facing technical sales experience.
• Strong communication with product teams and executives.
• Experience in B2B relations and increasing responsibility.
• Willingness to travel in North America (visa/US citizenship).
• Quickly absorbs new technologies; Claude Code a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery calls and design guidance for ClickHouse/Altinity.Cloud.
• Support sales with demos, PoCs, and prototyping including table design and query optimization.
• Onboard new Altinity.Cloud and Enterprise Support customers with engineering involvement.
• Accelerate deployments by solving issues and coordinating with teams.
• Coordinate communications between customers and internal Altinity teams.
• Manage multiple sales engagements across Engineering, Support, and Sales Administration.
• Identify decision makers and build customer relationships.
• Create technical documentation for DevOps, implementations, and services.
