Job summary

Public Consulting Group is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to define scope, plan budgets, and lead cross-functional teams in remote delivery with periodic onsite travel. You will manage timelines, metrics, and risk responses while collaborating with senior leadership and clients.

The role requires 8+ years in technical project management, familiarity with Agile processes, and strong skills in MS Project and Power BI. A PMP/CSM/CAPM certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• 8+ years’ technical project management experience, understand Agile Development Processes.
• 5 years of experience with MS Project.
• Project Management Certification (PMP, CSM, CAPM) strongly preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience conducting quantitative and qualitative risk management.
• Root cause analysis.
• Application of risk responses.
• 3-5 years’ experience with Power BI dashboard reporting.
• 3-5 years’ experience with Agile/Waterfall hybrid project management.
• 3-5 years’ experience in briefing project metrics to project stakeholders and senior leadership.
• 3-5 years’ experience in schedule variance analysis utilizing PMI metrics.
• 3-5 years’ experience with developing project artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals.
• Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Plans, estimates, schedules and tracks project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Uses and refines best practices and tools for project execution and management.
• Drafts and submits budget proposals and recommends subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Proactively manages changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devises contingency plans.
• Able to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Reads communication styles of team members and contractors from diverse disciplines.
• Elicits cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
• Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
• Participates in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
