Job summary

Winrock International seeks a Technical Lead for Sustainability Services (Regenerative Agriculture and Climate). This remote US-based role focuses on decarbonization in the FLAG sector, ensuring GHG methodology adherence and advising clients on climate standards.

The successful candidate will manage complex analyses, communicate findings clearly, and may mentor junior staff. Requires 6+ years in climate/sustainability, bachelor's degree, and ability to travel internationally and domestically.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in climate or sustainability roles.
• Experience managing greenhouse gas accounting in the agriculture field.
• Field or research experience with soil organic carbon (SOC) and land-use change models.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
• Familiarity with GHG Protocol, SBTi, TCAT, SAI Platform and related standards.
• Experience with Life-cycle Assessments (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).
• Understanding of corporate supply chain management or procurement.
• Proficient in data analysis with Excel (basic to intermediate).

Responsibilities

• Lead or support client interactions and deliverables.
• Track and manage advisory requests on carbon accounting and decarbonization.
• Prepare client-facing presentations, reports, and memoranda.
• Contribute to proposal development and workplans.
• Perform basic to intermediate GHG calculations.
• Collaborate in small teams to deliver high-quality products and provide guidance.
