Job summary

Winrock International seeks a Technical Lead for Sustainability Services (Regenerative Agriculture and Climate). This remote role requires regulatory US work and will engage with FLAG sector clients to decarbonize and promote regenerative practices.

The position emphasizes knowledge of GHG protocols, SBTi standards, and commodity guidance, with experience in SOC, LCA, and ESG reporting. Travel internationally/domestically is required, and the role is four months with parental leave coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
• Experience managing technical aspects of greenhouse gas accounting in the agriculture field
• Field or research experience with soil organic carbon (SOC) and land use change models, greenhouse gas profiles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel internationally and domestically
• Experience with climate standards (GHG Protocol, SBTi, SAI Platform)
• Experience with Life-cycle assessments (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)

Responsibilities

• Leading or supporting interactions with clients, presenting updates or deliverables
• Tracking and managing technical advisory requests on carbon accounting and decarbonization
• Preparing client-facing PowerPoint presentations and reports
• Conducting desk research on climate mitigation and standards
• Leading or supporting proposal development and workplans
• Performing basic to intermediate calculations using greenhouse gas data
• Working with small teams to deliver high-quality products and provide guidance
