For People seeks a Technical Lead to own the agency’s public data website. The platform is built on Drupal with a separate React front end, and you will drive architecture, coding standards, and secure, maintainable releases.

You will ensure uptime targets, collaborate with CMS product owners, data owners, and partner firms, and lead data migrations while upholding accessibility and security best practices. This is a 100% remote federal contract role with occasional CMS HQ travel.

Formación

• / The role requires 6+ years of Drupal development, including 3+ years on managed Drupal hosting such as Acquia, 3+ years building custom Drupal modules, and 3+ years with MySQL and SQLite databases.
• / 6+ years of web development total, with 3+ years React and 3+ years connecting React front ends to Drupal.
• / Experience building and running software for the federal government, including CMS systems and compliance with FISMA and ATO processes.
• / Experience with CDNs and cloud hosting and planning migrations between hosting environments.
• / Experience owning a full testing practice (functional, performance, security, accessibility) and building sites meeting Section 508.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the engineering for the agency's public data website, built on Drupal with a separate React front end, owning architecture decisions and coding standards.
• Keep the site reliable and secure with uptime targets, release management, monitoring, incident response, and security documentation for Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Lead research on hosting and content delivery options and migrate platforms without ATO gaps.
• Provide CMS offices a publishing/update capability in Drupal and set team engineering standards, including reviews, automated tests, and accessibility checks.
