Job summary

Serco is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Editor & Document Support Specialist to provide on-call support for the development, review, editing, quality assurance, and production of client-facing deliverables. This role supports program management, operations, quality, and technical teams by ensuring documents meet contractual requirements, organizational standards, and client expectations.

Qualifications

Authorization to work in the US
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
2+ years in technical editing, document management, QA, or related field (6+ years without degree)
Experience reviewing and editing client-facing deliverables
Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Edit client deliverables for technical accuracy and clarity while maintaining a single voice across documents
Support document authors through the deliverable lifecycle, including formatting, version control and production
Coordinate redlines, comments, and stakeholder feedback
Verify adherence to contractual requirements and internal approval processes
Maintain document repositories and version histories
Provide surge support during high-volume deliverable periods
Review and update SOPs, process maps, and guidance documents
Assist with final client submission packages
