Job summary

DEKRA North America seeks a Technical Director to lead audit operations from a remote US basis, supervising internal teams and external contractors. The role focuses on strategic alignment, accreditation maintenance, and ensuring compliance with ISO/AS quality frameworks.

The successful candidate will oversee certification programs, conduct training, and coordinate with Marketing/Sales for client acquisitions, while managing travel up to 40–50% domestically and occasional international

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent; or four to ten years of related experience and/or training.
• Minimum of three years of quality management experience.
• Experience supervising staff or teams.
• Hands‑on experience establishing, auditing, leading, and maintaining an ISO/AS quality system.
• Technical knowledge for assigned unit.
• Experience leading external notified body audits.

Responsibilities

• Directs and interprets standards and rules applicable to DEKRA Certification, Inc.
• Provide leadership, direction, and performance oversight for internal staff and contractors.
• Lead auditor for AS9100, ISO 9001, among others.
• Maintain accreditations and extend recognitions in market segments.
• Develop market-specific presentations and collaborate with Marketing and Sales.

Education

Master’s degree or equivalent; or four to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of three years of quality management experience
