Job summary

Direct Meds is hiring a Technical Accounting Manager to strengthen GAAP reporting and technical accounting practice. The role is remote (US) and full-time, offering a base salary of $135,000–$165,000 with profit sharing.

The role serves as the primary technical accounting resource, reporting to the CFO and collaborating with auditors and finance leaders. You will own technical production end-to-end within a multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.
• Approximately 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting; ASC 606 positions preferred.
• Public accounting experience, preferably national or Big Four, strongly preferred.
• Experience with multi-entity businesses and healthcare/pharmacy exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and document complex accounting matters and prepare memos for review by finance leadership.
• Support GAAP application, including ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscriptions and telehealth arrangements.
• Review significant transactions and advise on accounting treatment.
• Support acquisitions, intercompany transactions, and strategic initiatives from an accounting perspective.
• Assist with monthly and annual close and GAAP financial statements and disclosures.
• Prepare audit support and coordination with external auditors; maintain policies and controls.
