Job summary

D-Wave is seeking a Staff Technical Account Manager with strong Optimization knowledge to lead technical engagements with North American customers and support the integration and deployment of our quantum computing solutions.

In this client-facing advisory role, you’ll act as a trusted technical advisor externally, helping customers identify use cases, solve complex problems, and achieve successful adoption of our platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years combined experience in a technical customer-facing role.
• Strong foundation in Optimization, algorithms, or applied mathematics.
• 2+ years of hands-on Python programming in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with GitHub and REST APIs.
• Experience with logistics, manufacturing, pharma, fintech, or education sectors.
• Excellent communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with projects in logistics or scheduling is a plus.
• Quantum computing or AI/LLM experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Present our product to customer prospects and map value to their challenges.
• Translate the company vision and roadmap to executives and technical staff.
• Deliver technical presentations at conferences, webinars, and events.
• Host webinars and support conference booths to aid marketing efforts.
• Hold regular technical meetings with clients during rollout and expansion.
• Build long-term technical relationships across project lifecycles.
• Identify and propose new projects leveraging D-Wave solutions.
• Serve as a technical resource on quantum optimization and industry trends.
• Advocate client needs to internal product and development teams.
• Communicate complex technical information clearly across audiences.
• Demonstrate a strong customer-support mindset and candid guidance.
• Identify professional service opportunities with customers and collaborate with PS team.
• Provide technical support to customer projects through Advisory Service.
• Travel 30%–50% to conferences and client meetings.
