Job summary

NPR is expanding its Digital Media and Technology divisions and seeking a collaborative Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage full-cycle recruitment for software, cloud, product, design, and IT roles. You will partner with technology leaders to source and assess candidates, ensuring an inclusive candidate journey.

As a remote-permitted position based in Washington, DC, you will support structured interviews, analytics, and compliant hiring practices while aligning with NPR’s public media

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional full-cycle talent acquisition experience, with at least 2 years on technical roles.
• Ability to screen and vet candidates for modern tech stacks (AWS, Python, JS, React).
• Experience executing equitable sourcing and mitigating bias in assessments.
• Proficient with applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse or equivalents) for structured interviews.
• Able to manage a portfolio of active concurrent recruitments with multiple managers.
• Excellent consultative and interpersonal communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle technical recruiting for software, cloud, product management, digital design, and IT roles.
• Build engineering pipelines via targeted sourcing campaigns and communities.
• Lead alignment kickoffs with engineering/product managers to map requirements and interview loops.
• Ensure a clear, responsive candidate experience through assessment steps and offer calculations.
