JHM Certified Public Accountants in Chattanooga is seeking a Tax Supervisor to join a family-oriented office. You will prepare and review complex tax returns, provide strategic tax guidance, and mentor junior staff while meeting tight client deadlines.

The role emphasizes staying current with tax law changes, delivering client-focused insights, and collaborating with a supportive team in a flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA eligible preferred.
• 3-6 years of public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepares complex tax returns of all types.
• Begins to review tax returns, recognizing needed corrections and providing feedback to preparers.
• Builds research insights on tax issues to recommend strategies and assist clients.
• Keeps up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Provides industry knowledge and expertise to clients.
• Works on confidential client matters meeting deadlines and requirements.
• Builds strong team relationships and adheres to firm processes and confidentiality.
