Qualifications

• Three years of tax preparation or review experience.
• Experience with IRS transcripts, amendments, and prior year return identification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for virtual collaboration.
• Solid knowledge of tax law and ability to explain personal tax concepts.

Responsibilities

• Take a consultative approach by understanding clients' financial goals and informing them about HR Block products.
• Establish rapport and trust with clients through empathy and active listening.
• Conduct tax interviews to support retail and DIY online clients via video, phone, chat, and email.
• Review and complete accurate tax returns for individuals and small businesses per IRS rules.
• Analyze IRS transcripts to identify missed filings or amendment opportunities.
• Provide ethical, credible tax guidance and protect client confidentiality.
• Stay current with tax laws and tools; pursue ongoing training to improve tax skills.
• Utilize HR Block digital tools to streamline tax prep and enhance client experience.
• Collaborate with staff to improve client experience and achieve office goals.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance

High school diploma or equivalent
