Job summary

PROG Holdings, a leading fintech group, is hiring a Tax Manager to oversee U.S. federal and multi-state tax functions, including select international matters. You will report to the Director of Tax and drive compliance, provision, planning, and audits within a publicly traded, multi-entity environment.

You will collaborate across Finance, Legal, IT, and external advisors to ensure accurate, timely results in a fast-paced setting. Hybrid or remote work within the United States is available.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of progressive tax experience, including public accounting or public company exposure.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 income tax accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with multi-entity and consolidated tax environments.
• Exposure to tax audits, notices, and tax disclosures for SEC filings.

Responsibilities

• Manage federal and multi-state income tax returns and filings.
• Coordinate multi-state tax compliance and apportionment.
• Support ASC 740 tax provision calculations and rate analyses.
• Assist with tax disclosures for SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q).
• Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and FP&A for forecasting.
• Support international tax compliance and intercompany transactions.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
