Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Tax Debt Resolution Attorney to lead the firm’s tax controversy cases from inception through resolution. The role emphasizes direct advocacy, mastery of IRS procedures, and strategic case execution with top-tier clients in a Phoenix-based market.

The ideal candidate has a JD, active bar license, and 1+ years of tax resolution experience, with strong analytical and negotiation skills to drive favorable outcomes across OICs, Installment Agreements, CNC, and penalties

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar License is required.
• 1+ year of tax resolution or tax controversy experience.
• Strong knowledge of IRS collection procedures and financial analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own a diverse caseload of tax resolution matters from intake to close.
• Lead high-level consultations and analyze IRS transcripts to determine strategy.
• Develop and implement strategies including Offers in Compromise (OIC), Installment Agreements, CNC, Penalty Abatements, and Appeals.
• Prepare 433-A/B/F disclosures and negotiate with Revenue Officers and state taxing authorities.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and CRM updates to sustain momentum.
• Represent the firm at networking events and build referral relationships.
