Job summary

Five Star Tax Resolution is seeking a seasoned Tax Attorney to represent clients in federal and state tax disputes, develop resolution strategies, and advocate with tax authorities. The role requires deep knowledge of tax law, excellent negotiation, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload while delivering outstanding client service.

The attorney will work closely with case managers and staff, preparing offers in compromise, installment agreements, and relief claims, ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• J.D. and active bar license in good standing.
• Experience in tax controversy, tax resolution, or IRS representation preferred.
• Strong understanding of IRS procedures, Circular 230, and tax court procedures.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients before IRS and state tax authorities.
• Develop customized resolution strategies for tax liabilities.
• Prepare and submit Offers in Compromise, Installment Agreements, and other relief.
• Review transcripts, financial records, tax returns, and supporting docs.
• Negotiate with Revenue Officers, Agents, and Appeals Officers.
• Advise on tax compliance and future planning.
• Draft legal memos and correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and state laws.
