Job summary

Collective in the United States seeks a trusted tax accountant to join the Tax team and support our members and the Member Relations group. You will manage a portfolio of clients and influence our tax strategy and compliance with federal and state filings.

In this role, you will review and prepare returns such as Form 1040 and 1120-S, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with leadership to ensure timely, accurate filings while staying up to date with evolving tax laws.

Qualifications

• CPA or EA or JD in state of residency.
• 3-5 years experience preparing, signing and filing returns (1040 & 1120-S).
• Experience with Form 1065 and Schedules C/E/SE is a plus.
• Proficiency with cloud-based tax tools and research platforms.

Responsibilities

• Understand clients’ financial background and goals to identify optimization opportunities.
• Review, deliver, sign, and file federal and state returns (1040 & 1120-S).
• Mentor and train junior tax staff; collaborate with leadership on tax matters.
• Research and analyze tax laws and present findings to senior leadership.
