Job summary

EOS Accountants LLP invites a Tax Manager to lead tax return preparation, tax provisions, transfer pricing, and client consultations. You will mentor staff, manage multiple engagements, and develop tax strategies for clients.

Strong English communication and CPA/EA credentials are required, with teleworking options. Responsibilities include reviewing complex returns, liaising with tax authorities, and guiding the engagement team to deliver precise, timely work within budgets.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, or a tax concentration within an accounting program.
• CPA or EA license.
• Minimum 5 years of tax service experience in a public accounting firm.
• Experience preparing individual, business, benefit fund, real estate and exempt organization tax returns.
• Strong computer skills: proficiency in tax accounting software, Excel, Word.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Business level proficiency in English required – Dual business level proficiency in Japanese required.
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns (corporate, dual-status and expatriate individual, partnership).
• Lead client contact, develop tax strategies, and provide consultations.
• Review and research tax laws related to client transactions and audits.
• Prepare transfer pricing studies and tax provisions for financial statements.
• Manage multiple engagements and budgets while mentoring Staff and Seniors.
• Foster client satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional services.
