Qualifications

• Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
• One year of experience responding to customer inquiries and resolving problems.
• Two years of experience at Treasury Customer Service Representative 7, including one year equivalent to Treasury Customer Service Representative 6.
• Three years of experience at Treasury Customer Service Representative E8, including two years equivalent to Treasury Customer Service Representative 6 or one year equivalent to Treasury Customer Service Representative 7.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary customer contact in a service center environment within the Collection Services Bureau, assisting taxpayers/debtors and authorized representatives.
• Utilize knowledge base and case management tools to answer inquiries and update/retrieve account information on delinquent tax and state debts.
• Process work queues generated by collection systems and support the resolution of delinquent accounts.
