SME Careers is seeking a Tax & Audit Subject Matter Expert (SME) to review AI-generated tax and audit responses and to create expert accounting content. This is an hourly, remote contractor role focused on evaluating reasoning quality, accuracy, and completeness, with precise feedback and high-quality explanations.

You will assess solutions for compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting linkages, writing model solutions and ranking responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field required.
• CPA/ACCA/EA/CIA is a strong plus.
• 5+ years of tax and/or audit experience in accounting.
• Strong command of tax fundamentals and audit concepts.
• Experience reviewing workpapers, analyses, and controls.
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver audit-ready work.
